Bushfire Wars re-launch on 22 March 2020
The re-release of Bushfire Wars Season One will go to air Sunday March 22 at 8:30pm on 7TWO
Producers of the highly acclaimed TV series Bushfire Wars have announced the re-release of Season One, which is set to go to air on 7TWO on Sunday March 22 at 8:30pm. The series originally debuted on the National Geographic Chanel on Foxtel and was the highest rating factual program across the entire platform when it launched.
Bushfire Wars is a fascinating WA production that gives viewers an intimate, and often terrifying, look in to the behind the scenes work of the Parks and Wildlife Service bushfire fighters in Western Australia. The firefighters’ battleground covers millions of square kilometres of forests and bush. The landmark series has made fantastic use of new camera technology and fire-trained camera crews to capture the action and give viewers real insight into a world rarely seen.
Producers Leighton and Jodie De Barros are thrilled that the series will have the opportunity to be exposed to more Australian audiences through 7TWO. “Given the recent intense bushfire season we know the series will give the public a complete understanding of bushfire fighting and mitigation through the work of one of Australia’s principal bush fire-fighting agencies.”
“We are thrilled to see Bushfire Wars screen on 7TWO, as it presents a unique Western Australian perspective into fire-fighting and will be enthralling factual television for a new audience,” explained Willie Rowe, CEO of Screenwest.
You can watch Bushfire Wars on 7TWO from Sunday 22 March at 8:30pm, screening 1 episode weekly.
