Australian Screen Production Industry COVID-Safe Guidelines Released
Today Screen Australia and AFTRS released the Australian Screen Production Industry COVID-Safe Guidelines.
The guidelines were developed by an Australian Screen Sector Task Force including National and State Screen Agencies, Broadcasters, Industry Associations and production companies in association with the federal Chief Medical Officer’s Team, to provide support and assistance to screen practitioners in returning and recommencing productions. The aim of the guidelines is to minimise the risks associated with exposure of personnel to COVID-19 while working on a screen production.
The guidelines offer up to date, practical advice, which will continue to evolve alongside the advice of governments and sector best practice. Screenwest acknowledges that the guidelines are just that, and will continue to request a COVID-19 risk management plan, tailored to each screen project entering production, is submitted prior to commencement.
It is also important to note that this guideline has been developed for productions Australia-wide and projects returning to production must still comply with the state regulatory COVID-19 public health frameworks in place.
