WA Writer / Director Renée Webster’s debut feature film, produced by Tania Chambers and Judi Levine was a recipient of Screenwest’s coveted West Coast Visions initiative which provides a $750,000 production grant to a first-time WA feature director to realise their vision on the big screen. The film is proving to well and truly be a career launch pad for Renée, who was recently handpicked to direct Season 2 of ABC comedy series, Aftertaste.
How to Please a Woman sees actress, television presenter and comedian Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’s Diary, Veep) as 50-something Gina who has an inspired business idea to launch an all-male house-cleaning service. When her business grows out of control, Gina must acknowledge her own appetite if she is to make a new life for herself.

Renée, Tania and Judi were the recipients of Screenwest’s 2019 West Coast Visions initiative, with How to Please a Woman receiving $750,000 production funding. Renée was the second female directing recipient in a row, following 2018 West Coast Visions recipient Jub Clerc, for her debut feature film, Sweet As.
How to Please a Woman has been sold internationally and will be released in the US, Canada and the UK in July 2022.
