About the Attachment
Role: Assistant Producer Attachment
Dates: Monday, 5 August – Friday, 6 September 2024 (five weeks)
Location: Fremantle, WA
Production Company: Prospero Productions
Under the expert guidance of Production Manager, Karina Rowe, the successful candidate will:
- Assist the Series Director and Story Producer with research.
- Assist the Production Manager with schedule and logistics.
- Attend weekly editorial meetings.
- Source on-screen contributors for editorial purposes as required.
- Track archive location and availability/copyright for use in the master spreadsheet.
- Source props and on-screen equipment for expedition where necessary.
- Develop good communication skills with contributors.
- Develop an understanding of the locations, permits and drone application process.
- Review shooting scripts and ensure all relevant contributors/props/archives are correct.
- Gain an understanding of developing editorial process.
- Observe how research is used in the scripting process.
WA First Nations practitioners and WA practitioners from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the Screenwest Crew Attachment Guidelines and Terms of Trade, as well as possessing:
- Good attention to detail, communication and organisation skills.
- The ability to multitask and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Basic understanding of Excel and Word.
Special consideration will be given to applicants with
- Research experience;
- Archive experience;
- Permit application experience;
- Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and feedback.
