About the Screenworks 2019 Directing Intensive
Twelve early career screen directors will be selected by Screenworks to develop their skills under the tutelage of two of Australia’s most respected screen directors.
The guest tutors will advise selected early career regional screen directors on technique, skills and project development for drama and documentary film and television.
This is a supportive environment where the participants can develop their skills and test ideas under the guidance of highly experienced industry professionals
This two-day program is delivered in partnership with the Australian Directors’ Guild (ADG), Linnaeus Estate Education Fund and with support from Create NSW, as well as support for individual participants from Screen Queensland and Screenwest.
“We are looking forward to connecting Kriv Stenders with our 2019 participants,” explained Screenworks CEO, Ken Crouch.
“His talent is legendary; with the success of his feature film Red Dog putting him the top 10 all time box office hits for Australian feature films and the release of his highly anticipated new feature DANGER CLOSE: THE BATTLE FOR LONG TAN we believe he will bring extraordinary advice to the twelve regional screen directors. We are very grateful to the ADG for sourcing him for this workshop.”
