Applications open for travel funding to attend the 2024 Australian Children’s Content Summit

Screenwest has opened a competitive travel round for the Australian Children’s Content Summit (ACCS) 2024, taking place in Coffs Harbour, NSW from 27 – 29 August 2024.

ACCS brings together the children’s and family screen industry globally for a range of high level and exciting activities, including topical presenters, featured guests, 1:1 meetings, exclusive pitching opportunities, and fun social networking designed to build relationships, encourage business and promote dialogue. 

WA First Nations practitioners and WA practitioners from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. 

A set amount of $2,500 to assist with flights, accommodation and registration will be provided and as such, a budget is not required as part of the application. Only a limited number of practitioners will be supported.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be a Western Australian resident and meet the general eligibility requirements set out in the Screenwest Terms of Trade.
• Hold the underlying rights to at least one longform children’s project in development with strong market potential OR genuine market interest.

Applicants will be responsible for purchasing their registration to attend ACCS 2024.

Screenwest will only fund one person per project / company to attend.

How to Apply

Applications can be made through Screenwest’s SmartyGrants portal.

Applications will be assessed against the following criteria:

• The applicant’s track record, including relevant and recent credits.
• Merit of the opportunity as presented in the application and outcomes of attendance.
• Viability of the applicants submitted project/s, including market interest provided.
• Potential economic and cultural benefits to the Western Australian screen sector more broadly.
