Next Gen Short Film Festival is back at The Backlot Perth this month as part of Fringe World.
This award-winning festival celebrates and supports short films made by Western Australian emerging filmmakers.
The Next Gen Short Film Festival judges Matthew Eeles from Cinema Australia, Suzanne Worner from Revelation Film Festival and casting director/acting coach Annie Murtagh-Monks had a tough choice trying to nominate the high caliber of films entered this year for the 10 awards offered, which includes a prize for Best Film. From these nominations, nine amazing short films have been selected to screen at two upcoming events.
There are two events, a People’s Choice Screening on Thursday, 8 February 2018 (doors open from 6pm, tickets $20) and a People’s Choice Screening + Awards Ceremony on Sunday, 11 February 2018 (doors open 5.30pm, tickets $30) at The Backlot Perth.
“The Backlot Perth is proud to support this event. It is a fantastic opportunity for us to welcome emerging filmmakers into our venue alongside the wider filmmaking community,” said Ian Hale, Managing Director of The Backlot Perth.
Tickets to the festival can be purchased via www.fringeworld.com.au and search Next Gen Short Film Festival.
