Screenwest Appoints New CEO

Screenwest has announced the appointment of Rikki Lea Bestall as its new CEO, commencing in May. 

Ms Bestall’s appointment coincides with the completion of a three-year contract by current CEO, Willie Rowe.

Screenwest Chair, John Driscoll, pointed to Ms Bestall’s outstanding success and industry experience across local, national and international spheres as a key driver for this significant appointment.

“The WA screen industry is poised for a period of unprecedented growth and in Rikki we have a CEO who can lead the organisation drawing on her success and well-deserved respect across the WA screen industry” said Mr Driscoll.

Screenwest launches Strategic Plan 2016-21

Following extensive consultation and research, Screenwest has today released its 2016-2021 Strategic Plan. Janelle Marr, Chair, Screenwest said that the new five-year plan was built on the great work and successes of WA’s screen industry to date. “Since the development of our previous strategic plan in 2011, there’s been an unprecedented amount of change in the industry,” Ms Marr said.
