Screenwest, with the support of Lotterywest is thrilled to be supporting the Revelation International Film Festival and we’re excited to share the news that their full program is now live!

The 24th annual Revelation Perth International Film Festival returns from 1 – 11 July presenting a curated program celebrating independent filmmakers and boundary pushing storytellers.

Made possible with funding through Screenwest special initiatives including Elevate, Elevate+ and WA Reflections – Our History Rediscovered – short projects Sparkles, In Australia and Murder on the Dance Floor and many other local screen projects will screen as part of Get Your Shorts On! Program at Luna Leederville. Westralia Day at the Backlot will see Two Sands screen as part of a suite of shorts, as well the weird but downright wonderful, Hug The Sun.

The theme of Distant but Connected is reflected not only through the epic program featuring content from 21 countries, but also through the Festival’s specially commissioned artwork from acclaimed Augmented Reality artist Marc-o-Matic.

Screenwest CEO Rikki Lea Bestall explained, “Screenwest is pleased to be supporting Revelation again in 2021. It’s an amazing platform for local, independent filmmakers to showcase their work to Perth audiences and for audiences to experience edgy, independent screen content, they might not otherwise have access to.”

“It may be a long time before we see international screen artists physically again, but at the very least in the interim, Rev can provide a vibrant conduit to global conversations and relationships,” says Festival Director, Richard Sowada.

The full line-up of over 35 feature films and documentaries, plus a comprehensive selection of shorts, is online and on sale now at

Screenwest through the support from Lotterywest has proudly supported the festival since 2015 through the Audience Community Engagement Fund.
