Diversity Scholarships for The Art and Craft of Development Workshop

Feisty Dame Productions are offering five diversity scholarships for their upcoming workshop “The Art and Craft of Development with Stephen Cleary”. Expressions of interest close Monday, 23 December 2019.


Diversity Scholarships

Feisty Dame Productions is hosting the “The Art and Craft of Development” Workshop by Stephen Cleary on Monday, 20 and Tuesday, 21 January 2020, with assistance from Screenwest and Lotterywest through the Screenwest Screen Industry Skills Development Fund.

Up to five (5) diversity scholarships are available to encourage Western Australian community members from under-represented backgrounds in the screen industry to participate free of charge in the “The Art and Craft of Development” Workshop.

For the purpose of these scholarships, diversity is recognised as differences in:

  • Gender
  • Age
  • Indigenous identity
  • Cultural and linguistic diversity (CaLD)
  • Disability
  • Sexuality and gender identities, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (LGBTQI+)
  • Location (including urban communities and remote regions), and
  • Socio-economic status.


Expressions of Interest

Expressions of interest for the scholarships should be submitted to Maya Kavanagh at by Monday, 23 December 2019.

Please provide your contact details, CV and a 100 – 300 word statement outlining:

  • In what manner you have provided creative input to the story development process of a WA project or team
  • How you intend to use the skills learned from the workshop and
  • Details of the area of diversity with which you identify.

Recipients of the will be notified around Wednesday, 8 January 2020 for attendance at the Workshop in Perth on 20 – 21 January 2020.
