CinefestOZ Film Festival Launches Industry Program!
CinefestOZ Film Festival’s Industry Program has been revealed including key sessions presented by Screenwest.
The festival’s Industry Program centres on skill-building, panel discussion workshops, screenings, masterclasses and major networking opportunities.
Held over three days, in collaboration with the nation’s key industry guilds and associations, combine professional development with the best new Australian films at the festival for experienced and emerging filmmakers.
“Last year’s Industry Program was a major success, attracting over 300 local, interstate, and international screen practitioners and leading to several projects being made in the region,” said CinefestOZ Film Festival CEO Malinda Nixon.
“The 2019 Industry Program offers an even higher calibre of guests, events, and networking opportunities guaranteed to inspire everyone in attendance and provide them with productive solutions for the challenges ahead.”
Key events announced include Keynote Address with special guest Glenn Gainor who is President, Innovation Studios, Sony Entertainment & Technology, a breakfast breaking from Screen Producers Australia and a presentation from Brown Sugar Appel Grunt with Maori New Zealand filmmakers Kerri Warkia and Keil McNaughton.
Screenwest is proud to present the Brown Sugar Apple Grunt session where Warkia and McNaughton will talk about their experience producing Waru, Vai, and the last film of the trilogy Kāinga, currently in post-production. The dynamic team present on their unique production methodology processes developing and creating the anthologies and discuss the secret to their success.
