Screenwest is delighted to present a seminar with producer Ros Walker on Saturday, 24 November 2018. The seminar will discuss how to increase the chances of your screen application being funded, with a special focus on the Screenwest Elevate and Generate programs.

EVENT: Top Tips for Writing a Successful Screen Application

This practical seminar will give examples of successful and less successful strategies when writing your application and some tips for improving your chances if team is shortlisted for an interview.

Ros will share her insights from co-ordinating two rounds of the Elevate program and one of the Generate programs for Screenwest and provide examples of submission materials that work.

Ros will be joined by Screenwest Talent Development Manager Eva di Blasio and Screenwest Diversity Manager Simone Flavelle. Simone will discuss considerations for responsibly and respectfully incorporating diversity elements in your application.

Ros will also be available for one-on-ones about intended Elevate and Generate applications during business hours on Monday, 14 November 2018 at Screenwest.

Ros Walker Biography

Ros Walker’s producing and line-producing credits include:

  • children’s TV comedy series YOU’RE SKITTING ME II
  • telemovie BABY BATH MASSACRE, and

Ros was Manager of Film Victoria, Lecturer in Producing at the VCA School of Film and TV and Director, Screen Production at the Film and Television Institute in Western Australia. She is currently producing feature documentary INTO THE DEEP about the submarine murder in Copenhagen.
