Screenwest welcomes Kath Parkinson as Marketing, Communications & Partnerships Manager.
Kath has been working in the Screenwest communications team as a consultant since May 2018 and was recently promoted to the manager role.
As Marketing, Communications & Partnerships Manager, Kath will lead and direct the Screenwest marketing, brand and communication strategy and manage Screenwest’s partnerships.
“In the few months she’s been with us, Kath has demonstrated incredible ingenuity, professionalism and passion for the local industry,” said Screenwest Head of Development & Production Matthew Horrocks.
“She has already formed strong relationships working with members of the screen industry, government partners and arts organisations alike. We look forward to seeing the comms team grow under her leadership.”
“I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work in such a vibrant and exciting industry,” said Kath. “I’m excited to continue working with Screenwest to support our incredibly talented WA screen industry.”
Across her 20-year career Kath has worked as a communications specialist, journalist, account manager and marketer and has extensive brand, marketing, events management and media advisory experience. She developed her skills during roles in government, publishing and the not-for-profit sector.
Most recently she spent time as a digital producer overseeing website builds for a raft of clients in health services, steered communications during a lengthy stint at Playgroup WA and jumped back into media last year when she worked as a casual producer with ABC Radio.
