Screenwest has opened a travel funding round for Western Australian factual filmmakers wishing to attend the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) in 2018.
The AIDC is Australia’s premier event for documentary, factual and unscripted screen content and is held 4 – 7 March 2018 at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) in Melbourne.
Screenwest will offer a set funding amount of $1,500 under both of Screenwest’s travel funding categories, Travel – Business & Marketing and Travel – Skills Development & Exposure. As this is a set funding amount, a budget will not be required as part of the application process.
Practitioners are to apply under the appropriate travel funding category. Guidelines and application materials are at the links below.
- Travel – Business and Marketing (for practitioners with two or more recognised credits)
- Travel – Skills Development and Exposure (for emerging and mid-career practitioners)
Please note that as this is a competitive round, funding is not assured even where an applicant meets all of the minimum eligibility criteria. Funding for emerging and mid-career practitioners is also limited.
The full AIDC 2018 program of more than 30 sessions and more than 100 speakers and decision makers will be announced in the coming months. The hallmark of the AIDC in 2018 will be a program with a strong focus on market opportunities for Australian factual filmmakers.
For travel funding enquiries, please contact the Screenwest Development Coordinator, Wendy Simmons on (08) 6169 2113 or email@example.com
Applications close Monday, 5 February 2018 at 5:00pm WST.
AIDC is proudly supported by Screenwest and Lotterywest.
