Experienced Executive Producer and Producer Tania Chambers will be the Professional in Residence at the Fielder St Creative Hub on selected Wednesdays during November and December. This program, now managed by Walker Films, is part of Screenwest’s commitment to ensuring that skills development opportunities previously administered through the Film and Television Institute (FTI), remain available to the emerging sector in Western Australia.

Tania knows how the screen industry works from the inside, the deals and the deal-makers, and how to get ahead in the screen industry. Tania is well known for her mentoring and generosity with new and emerging filmmakers.

Tania can provide you with advice on:

  • Securing placements and mentorship
  • Development funding
  • Producer partnerships
  • Marketplace attachments
  • Financing your project

Filmmakers are invited to meet with Tania, in time slots of up to 40 minutes, during session times listed below.  All meetings will be held at Fielders St Creative, 30 Fielder Street East Perth.

Founder and Managing Director of Feisty Dame Productions Pty Ltd, Tania Chambers produced the comedy feature A FEW LESS MEN directed by Mark Lamprell, released in cinemas around the world in 2017 and the comedic thriller KILL ME THREE TIMES directed by Kriv Stenders and selected in 2014 for Toronto, Melbourne, Busan and BFI London International Film Festivals. Tania produced the short films TANGO UNDERPANTS and executive produced ONE FINE DAY directed by Kelli Cross, HIGH TIDE directed by Kimberley West, DARK WHISPERS directed by Ngaire Pigram and A SHARED AFFAIR directed by Cameron Hay.

Tania was Chief Executive of Screen NSW and Screenwest, Vice President of Screen Producers Australia and is a member of the Western Australian Screen Industry Advisory Group and Chair of the Screen Industry Diversity Leadership Group, as well as a Board Member of Perth International Arts Festival. Tania was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for services to the Arts and to Film and Television in 2016.
