Synopsis
Featuring the biggest-ever cast of gold hunters, this series follows the real-life events of eight ambitious teams as they scour the inhospitable Australian Outback in the hope of uncovering a life-changing fortune.
Filmed across three epic regions of Australia, our miners and detectorists face the harshest extreme weather conditions. From forty-five-degree heat in the desert to freezing temps and snow-covered mountains to the devastating seasonal flooding along the coast. Rich environments, unique wildlife, and the untamed wilderness of Australia form the vibrant backdrop for the series.
We follow all day to day drama as the brave men and women of Aussie Gold Hunters are faced with high-risk decisions that could make or break their fortunes. With unstable gold prices and mining costs skyrocketing, the stakes have never been higher. In each episode, the nuggets and gold bars hit the scales at the “weigh-in” when our miners discover if their week was boom or bust.
