DRAWN TO WATER – TV Documentary

About the Film

DRAWN TO WATER is the story of world renowned marine artist Roger Swainston as he embarks on the fifteenth year of a twenty-year project studying the life of the Ningaloo Reef and its inhabitants through art.

Positioned right on the doorstep of the Ningaloo Reef, the world’s largest fringe reef, Coral Bay is home to Roger for six weeks every year as he painstakingly produces incredibly detailed and beautiful underwater photomosaics. Roger has perhaps spent more time beneath the water studying this area than anyone else as he dives for up to 6 or 7 hours every day during the six weeks. He feels that he is beginning to understand the world beneath. He speaks of its surprising resilience, its own unique seasons and the beauty that surrounds you once you become ‘part of the reef’.
