WA producer Estelle Buzzard heads to Sundance
Buzz Productions’ CEO Estelle Buzzard, an executive producer of feature film, ‘The Lifeguard’ will attend the 2013 Sundance Film Festival following the announcement of the film making official selection in the US Dramatic Competition. Starring Kristen Bell, ‘The Lifeguard’ is written and directed by Liz W. Garcia and tells the story of a former valedictorian who quits her reporter job in New York City to return to her hometown of Connecticut. There, she finds work as a lifeguard and starts a dangerous relationship with a troubled teenager. Read More

WA filmmakers win at ATOM Awards
Western Australian filmmaker and recent Edith Cowan University (ECU) graduate, Tamara Britza has picked up two Australian Teachers of Media (ATOM) Awards for her short film, ‘Blindspot', winning the Best Tertiary Experimental and the Best Tertiary Short Film at the ceremony in Melbourne last week. Writer/director, Ben Young also took home the Best Music Video Award for ‘Animalia' by the Voltaire Twins. ScreenWest would like to congratulate Tamara and Ben on their award wins. Read More
