A4.2 Travel Marketing Grants

Purpose and Scope:

Project Marketing Grants are available to experienced producers for the marketing of a slate of projects. These grants are capped at 75% of the minimum costs to attend overseas and interstate markets.

Eligibility:

Assistance is only available to Western Australian-resident production companies (see General Guidelines Section 1 for Western Australian Residency definitions).

Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrably well-developed portfolio of projects. In most cases the applicant will need to provide evidence of firm market interest from the Australian domestic market before overseas travel can be considered. The applicant's track record in achieving pre-sales will be taken into account when considering applications.

How to Apply:

Where appropriate applications should address the assessment criteria for projects listed in the General Guidelines. The applicant will normally be required to submit:

  • a completed application form;
  • a Travel & Marketing budget;
  • CV's of project principals, and a company profile indicating past success in marketing projects;
  • letters of intent or other documentation giving proof of market place interest (if any), and/or
  • a marketing/production financing strategy;
  • a synopsis of each project and an indication of their development status.

Closing Dates:

The next closing date will be 5pm, Monday 28 July 2008.

Applicants are strongly advised to contact Shannon Jenkins, Acting Funding Team Leader (ph: 08 9224 7350) for further information.

These guidelines must be read in conjunction with the General Guidelines.
