Travel Marketing Assistance

14 July 2008

Applications are now open for ScreenWest's Travel Marketing scheme, designed to help established Western Australian producers and production companies attend overseas and interstate festivals or markets over a six month period. Applications for this round will close on Monday, July 28.

This grant aims to maximise marketing opportunities for Western Australian projects by allowing local practitioners and production companies to take their development slate to key international markets and festivals. These grants are capped at 75% of the minimum costs to attend overseas and interstate markets.

Applications for Travel Marketing funding must address the following selection criteria:

  • Must be a WA Resident (see general guidelines for definition)
  • Must be an experienced producer or established production company with previously recognised credits
  • Must have a well developed slate of projects to take to the market.

Successful applicants will receive funding of up to $6,250. To apply, fill in a General Application form and attach:

  • A one page CV
  • A travel budget
  • A covering letter addressing the selection criteria (it is recommended that you refer to ScreenWest's Travel Marketing Guidelines)

Please note that applicants who are seeking Practitioner Development Travel Funding for this year's MIPCOM market should also submit their application by Monday, July 28. Application forms and guidelines can be downloaded from the Practitioner Development Travel guidelines page.

Practitioners wishing to attend MIPCOM are also encouraged to apply to Screen Australia's funding round, closing on Friday, August 1, 2008.

All applications will be assessed on a competitive basis as soon as possible following the closing date.
