ScreenWest travel grants to attend AIDC 2009

ScreenWest is offering a limited number of travel grants for Documentary Filmmakers to attend the 2009 Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) to be held in Adelaide from 18-20 February, 2009. The closing date to apply for travel assistance is 5.00pm Monday December 15.

Support will be limited to $1,250 per applicant.  Preference will be given to filmmakers with a proven track record and a demonstrated commitment to a career in Documentary Filmmaking.

To apply for this funding grant, please go to the Practitioner Development Travel Grants page and apply online using your ScreenXtra account. Your application must also include:

  • A profile of your filmmaking experience;
  • A travel budget for a low cost return airfare to Perth; and
  • Details of any projects you will be bringing to the conference or the other events.

The 2009 AIDC theme, Who's Watching?, will swing the spotlight onto the role of the audience, with various sessions, masterclasses and discussion panels investigating the questions of who, how, when and where factual media content is consumed.
