See what Screenhub had to say about the course last year.
Scheduled over four days, the course will develop the knowledge, skills and methodologies used by Executive Producers in the creation of screen content for all exhibition and broadcast media.
The course will provide participants with the opportunity to develop practical professional skills and knowledge in:
- Presenting a business case for private investors, production companies and screen markets.
- Locating and structuring finance for screen projects domestically and internationally.
- Relevant aspects of contract/intellectual property law, and standard screen contracts.
- Models of distribution - theatrical, DVD, VOD, pay per view, free to air, online, licensing, and merchandising.
This is an excellent opportunity for students to interact with fellow students and industry practitioners to realise their own projects.
Classes are limited to a maximum of 24 students in order to ensure a quality learning experience. Students will receive comprehensive notes for each topic and the sessions will include a wide range of practical activities and opportunities to ask questions and initiate discussion to support learning that will inform participants in the workplace.
