Production Attraction Fund – Closing Monday

Up to $500,000 is available through the Production Attraction Fund for interstate or international production companies intending to shoot in Western Australia. The next round of this Fund closes 5:00pm Monday, 6 December 2012.

ScreenWest's Production Attraction Fund will provide up to $500,000 or 10% of the Qualifying WA Expenditure (whichever is less) financial support for interstate and international productions that are produced in whole or in part in Western Australia.

The intention of the Production Attraction fund is to:

  • Attract high profile interstate and international screen productions to Western Australia;
  • Develop Western Australian crew, cast, businesses and infrastructure (including but not limited to equipment hire and post production facilities) associated with the screen industry; 
  • Showcase Western Australian locations and/or culture to an international audience; 
  • Allow Western Australian individuals and businesses to work with and form strategic alliances with interstate and international industry partners; and
  • Provide funding to major high profile productions that are not eligible under other ScreenWest Funding Programs

The applicant must be a bone fide film or television productioncompany with a demonstrated track record or whose principals have a strong track record in film, television and/or media production, and meet the General Eligibility requirements as outlined in the ScreenWest Terms of Trade, and meet the eligibility criteria listed in the Production Attraction Fund guidelines.
