Meet ABC’s commisioner of factual TV and documentary

Chris Thorburn, the Commissioning Editor of ABC TV documentaries, will be holding a briefing session for WA documentary producers and factual content makers interested in contemporary and factual entertainment series. ABC TV is looking for more 4-8 part half hour series for their 2012-2013 production slate and is keen to engage with producers at the early stages of development. This session will be held at the ScreenWest offices on Monday, 6 February at 4:30pm.Session details:

Chris has worked in television for over 25 years and has held senior positions as a commissioning editor, executive producer and series producer. He's made a diverse slate of programs for Australian and international broadcasters, covering everything from serial killers to space travel. Chris originally trained as a cameraman and editor, and has worked in television newsrooms in Sydney, London and the Middle East.
