23 February 2010

ScreenWest is offering one successful applicant a professional attachment with the WA Screen Academy as a Locations and Unit Manager to work on this year's Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) films.  Applications close 5:00 pm Monday March 15.

This attachment is an excellent opportunity for a Locations and Unit Manager to consolidate and hone their skills by working closely with the WA Screen Academy staff and students.

Some professional experience in Locations and Unit Managing on a ScreenWest or Film and Television Institute (FTI) funded project is essential, as this is an opportunity to gain skills and credits. A training wage will be offered at the Professional Attachment rate of $600 per week.

This opportunity will provide the successful applicant with on-the-job training and first hand experience working on a range of short films. Only those genuinely seeking a career in Locations and/or Unit Managing are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must be available for a 12 week period from March 29 to June 18, 2010, cannot be a student and must be Western Australian Residents as per the ScreenWest Terms of Trade.
