Dogs Run Loose at Sydney Underground Film Festival

30 July 2008
Western Australian short film Dogs Run Loose Around Here has been selected to screen at the Sydney Underground Film Festival in September.

Written and directed by Michael Hoath and produced by Tenille Kennedy, Dogs Run Loose Around Here is the story of a woman who temporarily loses her young daughter while out shopping and the subsequent confusion that leads to a man being accused of abduction.

Captured in one continuous steadicam shot from start to finish, the film aims to show the power of public perception and how that power can be used by some to the detriment of others.

Dogs Run Loose Around Here was produced under the Film and Television Institute's (FTI) One Off Members Production Fund (OOMPF).  It screened in front of a packed house at ScreenWest's Get Your Shorts On! showcase earlier this month.

If your short film has been accepted into a film festival we would love to hear about it and include the information in ScreenOnline.
