Deadly Yarns 4 attachment opportunity

The Film and Television Institute WA (FTI) is calling for expressions of interest from Indigenous Western Australian filmmakers would who like to work as an attachment alongside the Deadly Yarns Coordinator.  Applications close at 5pm, Thursday June 5.

The Deadly Yarns Indigenous short film initiative provides financial and developmental support to WA Indigenous filmmakers.  The initiative selects five short films to be developed, produced and then broadcast nationally on ABC TV's Message Stick program.

The attachment will work alongside the Deadly Yarns Coordinator at FTI.  The aim of the position is to give the attachment the opportunity to develop skills in arts administration and production support.

The successful applicant will be involved in the selection process of the Deadly Yarns films, the organisation of the developmental workshops, and the subsequent contracting and production of the successful projects.

The position will start in July 2008 at an average of two days per week until June 2009, although there may be peak periods where more than two days per week are required.
