Business Development Workshop in Broome and Stage 1 closing March 2
ScreenWest is calling for all production companies in WA's north-west to register to attend the Business Development Workshop in Broome on Thursday February 11. Prospective applicants to the Business Development Fund are strongly encouraged to attend. The ScreenWest Business Development Fund is a two-stage application process, with the first stage closing on March 2.
To assist potential applicants in applying for this new funding initiative, a free one day workshop has been developed that will go through, in detail, a Business Plan template that has been modified specifically for the film and television industry. This template forms part of Stage Two of the Business Development application process.
ScreenWest encourages potential applicants for the fund to attend the workshop. Attendance and the tips given may give your application the competitive edge you need to go onto Stage Two.
The workshop will take place:
Date: Thursday, February 11
Time: 9:00am - 5:00pm (light lunch provided)
Where: High Tides Room, Mangrove Hotel
47 Carnarvon Street, Broome
Bring: Expression of Interest and Business Plan template
RSVP: info@screenwest.com.au by February 8, 2010.
The first stage is through an Expression of Interest template that provides relevant information on your business' current status, your identified business development plan and the feasibility of being able to achieve this within two to four years. Applications for Stage One must be submitted by close of business March 2, 2010. Please refer to the guidelines on the ScreenWest funding page to ensure you meet the criteria and to make an application.
Up to five applicants will be selected to go onto Stage Two, where a detailed business plan is required. The Stage Two applicants will be required to attend an interview with the panel to discuss their business plan.
