Bereavement of Sunset Hospital caretaker Geoff Crane
Geoff Crane was a champion for the film industry's use of Sunset Hospital, living on site and working there as the caretaker since 2002. Sadly Geoff passed away on Sunday January 24, 2010.
Geoff's dedication to the safety and maintenance of the grounds combined with his ‘no worries' attitude to local film and production companies gained him much respect within the industry.
Western Australian filmmakers and crew who have worked at Sunset acknowledge Geoff's genuine desire to see our industry flourish and thank him for the role he played in helping us create and continue to use the Sunset site.
Mike Montague notes "Geoff's support of the industry and the people within it went far beyond the boundaries of his job. Geoff personally helped many people directly and was a genuinely generous and charitable man."
ScreenWest would like to express their condolences to his partner Estelle Desavie and the Crane family.
