AFTRS Documentary course in Sydney

The Australian Film, Television and Radio School are running the course, Production Management for TV (Non Drama) from Tuesday, 28 February to Friday, 2 March at the AFTRS campus in Sydney. This four day course offers up-to-the-minute skills and insights for aspiring TV Production Managers and Production Coordinators or even beginner Production Assistants, Producers or Associate Producers looking to expand their knowledge.The course will cover the tasks and responsibilities of Production Managers including:
- The first schedule and budget
- Setting up the production office and the shoot
- Crewing, casting and working with talent
- The Producer PM relationship
- Choosing cameras, sound equipment, lighting and editing formats
- Studio, Location, music and graphic selection
- The Art Department, Wardrobe and Make Up
- Legal, insurance and OHS issues
- Production accounting and cost reporting
- Technical delivery to networks and international distributors.
