‘Whale Patrol’ nominated at French Nature Film Festival

Whale Patrol from Sea Dog Films has been nominated in the conservation category at the Bird and Nature Film Festival in Abbeville, France. The documentary highlights the efforts of the Department of Environment and Conservation's (DEC) marine mammal rescue team and follows the remarkable and perilous journey of close to 17,000 Humpback whales as they leave their summer feeding grounds in Antarctica for breeding sites in tropical waters off the west coast of Australia.Originally airing on the ABC in 2009, Whale Patrol was named best documentary at the International Film Festival Water - Sea and the Oceans in the Czech Republic in 2010.
The Bird and Nature Film Festival was established in 1991 and is situated in picturesque Abbeville, situated in the North of France. The Festival runs 21-29 April, 2012.
