‘Blame’ premieres at MIFF this weekend

27 July 2010

The debut feature from writer/director Michael Henry and produced by Ryan Hodgson, Melissa Kelly and Michael Robinson premieres this Friday at the Melbourne International Film Festival.

Blame is a tense psychological drama about a group of young vigilantes, seeking revenge for a sexual betrayal. But their moral high ground is questioned, as lies are exposed. Once the truth is out, they find themselves on the dark side of justice.

Featuring an ensemble cast of Australia's rising talent, including Sophie Lowe (Beautiful Kate, Blessed), Simon Stone (Balibo, Kokoda, Jindabyne), Kestie Morassi (Wolf Creek, Underbelly), Mark Winter (Balibo, Van Diemen's Land), Ashley Zukerman (Rush) and 2009 AFI-winner Damian de Montemas (Underbelly, Secret Life of Us).

Blame received funding through ScreenWest's West Coast Visions and the Melbourne International Film Festival's Premiere Fund. Look out for the premiere screening in WA later this year.
