Overview
Western Australia: unique, diverse, vast
Western Australia is a land of contrasts - ageless reds, golden light, endless blues, fresh greens. Mile upon mile of white pristine sand hugs the coastline, beaches with crystal clear turquoise waters beckon. Contrast that with the deep red tones of the Kimberley pindang and the rich tropical green of the tropics, while down south there's towering forests, vineyards and fields of wildflowers, and out east is rolling wheat and sheep fields, and then vast arid deserts. In addition to the immense variety of landforms and countless natural scenic attractions are a contemporary capital city (Perth), quaint country towns and gritty industrial sites.
The state is renowned for its long periods of clear blue skies and brilliant sunshine. Covering a vast area approx 5 times the size of Texas, the total population of this unique state is just over 2.26 million people.
WA is a film friendly location for commercial productions, feature films and long form drama with minimal location fees, professional facilities, award-winning crew and collaborative funding opportunities.
Sharing the same time band as many cities in Asia (Beijing, Manila, KL, Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei) & ideally situated, Perth is the closest Australian capital city to many Asian countries.
