The City of Perth is presenting the forum in partnership with the Department of Culture and the Arts, ScreenWest, Murdoch University and X|Media|Lab.
Think Tank v.2.0 will feature a panel of experts from new media industries including Quickflix Managing Director Stephen Langsford, Chris Winter from the ABC, Murdoch University Head of Digital Media Tim Elleston, and Principal Strategist at Thinq Digital Kristen Vang. An official welcome will be provided by the Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi and an overview of the upcoming X|Media|Lab event will be given by Department of Culture and the Arts Deputy Director General Jacqui Allen.
The City of Perth Think Tank v.2.0 is a free event however participants must register to attend at rsvp@screenwest.wa.gov.au prior to Wednesday 27 October.
Participants can connect with other creative industries people via the LinkedIn group, Digital Media in Western Australia, the Facebook event and you can follow the Twitter hashtag #perththinktank for news and updates.

Stephen Langsford
Stephen is a Western Australian businessman and entrepreneur having founded successful businesses in a number of high growth sectors including information technology, new media and entertainment. Stephen is Founder and Executive Director of Quickflix Limited, Australia's leading online movie rental company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX:QFX). Stephen will speak about connecting with audiences via new and traditional distribution platforms.

Kristen Vang is the Principal Strategist at Thinq Digital in Perth. Specialising in campaign ideation, content development, online PR and community building, she has multi-national experience developing and implementing digital strategy for consumer brands. Previously, she was the Creative Director at Attention, a social media marketing and PR agency in New York, where she devised campaigns for clients such as M•A•C Cosmetics, Aveda, Bluefly.com, Hudson Jeans and Mashable. Kristen will be the MC for Think Tank v.2.0 and moderate the Q&A.
Tim Elliston
Having co-founded WebFeat, a leading Canadian digital agency in 1997, Tim came to Australia as the Head of Retail eCommerce for BankWest, before heading up Murdoch University's Digital Media team. Tim has worked with many Fortune 500 companies, including WalMart, Sears, Budget and BMW, developing user-centric digital marketing solutions. Tim is an advocate of using online behavioural analytics to reveal trends which can be used to optimise online communications. Tim will speak about the elephant in the corner called web analytics. You probably know you need it, and now you've got it, you're not entirely sure what to do with it. Tim will help you to speak with your elephant.
Chris Winter
Chris works for the ABC's Innovation Division, and has a long background in new media, digital TV, technology marketing and radio. His work has included projects to deploy ABC current and archive content on a number of platforms including off-deck mobile portals, Google Earth and Google Maps; and for its first two and a half years, managing ABC2. He has been a participant and mentor at various X|Media|Labs since 2003. Chris will speak about his experiences at X|Media|Lab and provide helpful advice to assist participants with developing a project to submit to XML Perth.
