Following it's sold out premiere and limited run season, the WA music documentary Something in the Water returns to the Luna Palace Leederville for an exclusive encore screening on Thursday May 15.
Directed by Aidan O'Bryan and produced by Janelle Landers, Something in the Water is a documentary about the WA rock music phenomenon. How can the most isolated city in the world have exploded with so many successful bands over the last few years? Across decades and genres, Something in the Water asks the question "is it isolation, the environment, the community or is it something else responsible for the sparkling talent pool?"
Featuring interviews with and performances by the who's who of WA rock including Eskimo Joe, John Butler Trio, End of Fashion, Little Birdy, The Waifs, The Sleepy Jackson, INXS, Hoodoo Gurus, Rolf Harris, Johnny Young, The Triffids, The Scientists and Baby Animals, as well as breakthrough bands like The Panics, The Panda Band, Schvendes, The Kill Devil Hills, Birds of Tokyo, Gyroscope and many more.
