In it's thirteenth-year, Revelation is being curated for the third year by writer, academic and cineaste Jack Sargeant. The Revelation program covers a wide range of bases across the independent film spectrum and boasts over 25 Australian Premieres and the World Premiere of Western Australian feature A Day at the Oasis.

In 2010, Revelation is screening feature films, documentaries, short films, and animation from seventeen countries, and will be host to an outstanding group of Australian and international guests, including several directors with films in this year's official selection, alongside other film industry movers and shakers.  Revelation's RevCon series of talks, panels and workshops strengthens in 2010, with the states of independent and Australian cinema under the microscope.  Also on offer are a workshop detailing the nuts and bolts of effective marketing and distribution; and an examination of the place of ‘incredibly strange' film.

Special events are another Revelation strong point, and highlights of this year's program include the first public screening of a Triffids concert film from 1984; a free screening of the Best of DomeFest at SciTech's Horizon Planetarium; the debut performance of the Sons of Steel Experience, a rock and roll apocalyptic sci-fi musical with live elements; ScreenWest's annual showcase of emerging WA filmmaking talent; the Revel-8 super 8 short film festival; a selection of the best short films from the Fantastic Planet Film Festival; and the return of Revelation's very popular Animation Showcase.

Revelation is proudly supported by the Australian and West Australian Governments through ScreenWest, Eventscorp and Screen Australia.
