Closing Date: Indigenous Feature Treatment (Online) Course with Paul Chitlik
| Where: | Weekly Skype sessions | When: | 06-Feb-12 12:00 AM until 06-Feb-12 05:00 PM |
|---|
The course will involve a two hour Skype class per week. Up to five participants will be selected to work in an online group to develop a feature treatment of their own idea. Participants will be expected to attend all six sessions, complete weekly homework and provide feedback on the group projects. On completion of the course and submission of a competed treatment, applicants will be eligible to apply for substantial development funds.
This opportunity will prepare Indigenous feature projects for upcoming feature development initiatives. This is the first of step in the development process for a feature film. After the completion of the treatment, projects will need to go through substantial further development before making it into production.
The course is designed for all levels of writing ability, but will prioritise practitioners that have been working in the WA film and television industry. The course is aimed at projects that are in relatively early stages of development. Projects that are in idea form, at treatment stage or in script form are eligible to apply.
Submissions material must include:
- Cover letter
- One line, one paragraph, one page synopsis
- Writing sample: either the first ten pages of a script OR a completed short film script
- One page CV
- Completed application form
Please email submissions to funding@screenwest.was.gov.au by 5:00pm Monday, 6 February.
The first session begins Tuesday, 28 February from 9:00am to 11:00am and continues every Tuesday for six weeks.
